This exhibition of paintings and associated letters, documents and objects, represent an unholy but ultimately respectful set of variations on late 19th century and early 20th century Australian Art.
Gorge Luis Borges once said “Reality is not always probably or likely”. And with this insight in mind, this ramble through art history reveals some sensational new facts and associations hitherto unknown to historians and academics.
Borrowing from the historical novel hymn book I can only concur with Gabriel García Márques who said;
“My most important problem was destroying the lines of demarcation that separate what seems real from what seems fantastic”.
